Year Established: 2015
In 2015, Celestial Discs introduced Team Celestial Discs to enhance our presence in retail and support the expansion of disc golf. While there have been times when we did not actively maintain a team, dedicated members remained steadfast through various challenges, embodying an integral, core part of Celestial Discs. When we resurrected the team and welcomed new players, we marked the occasion with a Phoenix-themed disc, symbolizing renewal.
In 2023, with the introduction of Team Celestial Rising Stars, we rebranded the existing team, integrating more fresh faces into the fold and renaming it the Team Celestial Core Team. Over the years, our focus has been cultivating a diverse and inclusive Core Team, encompassing individuals of all ages, skill levels, geographic regions, and representing multiple manufacturers. We've fostered a close-knit disc golf community dedicated to advancing the sport.
We value contributions on and off the disc golf course, actively seeking individuals who positively impact their communities while sharing our passion for disc golf and positively serving others. Our Team Celestial Core Team is comprised of educators, veterans, entrepreneurs, students, musicians, other professionals, and even a former major league baseball player.
Our team is more than just a team; it is a family that is growing and learning to work together and support one another with many exciting new opportunities on the horizon.

"General disc golf moment, how can it not be the “Holy Shot” ? Seeing that coverage and watching the live scoring seeing James dig his feet in the dirt with Paul right there was incredible.
Personal disc golf moment, maybe my first win? I won my first event in the rain and crazy wind of Emporia. Ended up cancelling half of the second round and we had to “seek shelter” at the retail store. I was tied with 2 other guys that I felt I didn’t stand a chance against. "My biggest win! It came from a tournament we ran and I played in at Tom Pearce in Grants Pass, Oregon. It was our largest tournament we ever hosted, capped at 90 people. I was in the largest division for the tourney which was MA2. I didn't have the greatest round the first round and was on the chase card for the second round. After throwing a stellar round 2, I was in a 3 way tie for first. Ended up taking the win in OT holes, took 2 holes to secure it."

"I was still very new to disc golf in 2022 I was on my first disc golf team and had a camping trip to Gavins Point Dam in South Dakota to compete in a NADGT event. The best part of the weekend was that my daughter was playing FJ12 and earned an invite to NADGT Nationals! We even got to be on the same card together both rounds as the TD appreciated all juniors playing and allowed them to play with their parents. It was an epic battle against mother nature all tournament, wind speeds were very high and gusting beyond belief. My daughter Evelyn never quit, never surrenderedand, learned so much that day."
